Cleaning is the part of a fountain that decides whether it gets used. WF230 is built for that: the brushed 304 stainless steel tray lifts straight off the grey PC body, the tank mouth is wide enough for a hand and the brush that ships in the box, and there is no screw or clip between the two parts.

Underneath, a 5V 1A pump with anti-dry-burn protection moves 2 litres of water through a round filter cartridge and a pump cotton, then up to the flower-shaped nozzle, which spreads the return into a ring of small streams. Between refills the water line stays readable through the translucent grey tank, so a top-up never needs the lid off. The base and tray are 304 stainless steel; grey is standard and custom colours are available for private-label runs.

Why A Steel Tray

A plastic bowl collects scratches, and scratches hold residue. A brushed 304 stainless tray can be scrubbed, rinsed and left to dry without losing its surface, and it stays cool under the water. It is also the only part of the fountain a cat's tongue touches, which keeps the cleaning job small and the material question simple.
